This kit is intended to be used with the Revell or Revell-Germany 1/144 scale Space Shuttle with Boosters kit. It provides resin replacement parts for the solid rocket booster nose cones and exhaust nozzles with insulation, orbiter rear engine mount with flap, main engines and OAMS pods and engines, external tank intertank wraps, along with lots of other fiddly bits. The resin parts are molded with crisp details and no visible airholes. Most of the parts are still on their pour plugs/wafers. The smaller fiddly bits are identified by numbers molded into the pour plugs. The photoetched parts are also identified by numbers etched next to each part. Extra parts are included for some of the smaller fiddly bits, since you're bound to lose one or two (or five) during the course of construction. Different parts are used depending upon which Orbiter is being depicted so you'll have a lot of parts left over. You also have the option of using either resin or photoetched parts for some details. The styrene rod supplies additional piping for the External Tank. The instructions are divided into separate sections: SRBs, ET, and Orbiter with several diagrams showing where the detail parts are to be added to the existing kit parts and which modifications to make to the kit parts. Decals provide stencils for the SRBs with wraparound guides provided in the instructions.
